⚠️ NFIRS is Being Replaced

The U.S. Fire Administration is phasing out NFIRS in favor of the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS). This report uses the final NFIRS Public Data Release (2020–2024), which represents the last comprehensive public dataset available under the legacy system.

While departments will continue to have access to their own NERIS data, ongoing benchmarking and analysis requires tools to track trends over time and understand performance in context. Arborlook Insights (the provider of this free report) offers NERIS-based analytics and custom reporting to help departments make data-driven decisions.

About This Report

This analysis is based on data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) Public Data Release (2020–2024). NFIRS data is voluntarily reported by fire departments across the United States, and data quality varies significantly between departments.

Data Limitations: Not all departments report consistently to NFIRS. Some departments may have missing years, incomplete incident records, or limited detail in their submissions. This report presents the data as reported—it may not reflect the full scope of a department's actual operations or call volume.

Community risk data is sourced from the FEMA National Risk Index and reflects census tract-level risk assessments independent of fire department reporting. While we strive for accuracy, this analysis is provided for informational purposes and should be validated against local records before use in planning or decision-making.

Data Not Available: Temporal pattern data (hourly, daily, and monthly distributions) is not available for this department in the advanced analytics dataset. This typically occurs when a department has limited reporting years or was not included in the sampled analysis. The incident trends by year (shown above) remain accurate and complete.

Community Risk Profile

Risk assessment based on FEMA National Risk Index data for 7 census tracts in the service area.

About These Ratings: FEMA's National Risk Index combines hazard frequency, community exposure, and social vulnerability to calculate risk scores relative to national averages. Ratings reflect both the likelihood of hazard events and a community's ability to withstand and recover from them. A "Relatively Low" rating doesn't mean zero risk—it means lower risk compared to other U.S. communities when accounting for local infrastructure, building codes, and resilience factors.

Geographic Variation: These summary ratings are averaged across 7 census tracts in the service area. For departments spanning large geographical areas, there will be localized hotspots of significantly higher risk that don't appear in these overall averages. The interactive map below provides a more granular view—carefully inspect individual tracts to identify high-risk areas that may require targeted mitigation efforts or pre-planning.
